It was the first time using this pot and corresponding lid. Thankfully the safety glass kept most of it in place but many pieces did go flying off and all of our prepared dishes were ruined. We had to clean upwards several feet around the stove and mop our floors to collect all of the glass shards. I'm a very feel melt and I have never had something like this happen during routine prep. It must have been a defect in our detail set and our other lids seem completely fine.
